What do you want?

According to Dr. Frank Luntz, author of What Americans Really Want… Really, the number one thing most Americans desire is a loving family.

More than good health,
More than financial security,
More than happiness,
More than a great career,
More than going to heaven…

People desire a loving family. In this day and age it is becoming increasingly more difficult to raise our children in a healthy environment void of all the trappings of our world. I wanted to post a few thoughts from Dr. Luntz as to how to help us raise our children:

1. Eat dinner together.
2. Take your kids to church weekly.
3. Check their homework nightly.
4. Demand truth and get it. (Ask lots of questions… Where are they going? Who with?)
5. Take them on vacation for at least a week at a time - completely unplugged.
6. Encourage them to participate in a team sport.

I thought Dr. Luntz had some great thoughts and that these six things covered a broad range of issues. Anything he missed??
